 Every
day in a child's life should be a special event. The idea of forcing all
young children to be regimented is at the root of the problem of the past two
centuries of war and mayhem. The American "father of public
education", Horace Mann was just a Puritanical windbag, as indicated by
the link to the left. Perhaps he has done more harm to the world than
anyone else in history?
