We are entering the era of the wind-solar-hydrogen economy.  Nuclear power has a role in the future, but for now, we must cover the Mid West with wind turbines.  With an investment of $150 billion a year for the next ten years, we can replace all of our oil, coal, and natural gas burning power plants with 500 GWa of non-polluting wind turbines.

By 2010, the costs of solar photovoltaics will drop into a market efficient range of costs.  Between 2010 and 2020, we should add another 500 GWa of wind power, and 500 GWa of solar photovoltaics, such that by 2020 all of our energy needs will be met with renewable energy.

We should double our spending on fusion energy to $500 million a year, and rejoin the ITER program, so that we can begin commercializing fusion by 2035.
