 The
cost of wind power today is economically competitive with dominant forms of
production, and causes no pollution and is domestically produced. The
current Current U.S. energy consumption rate is equivalent to 1500 GW, about 500
GW electric and the rest in direct combustion processes.
The potential wind energy
production rates for the leading midwestern states is over 1000 GW, thus
coupled with southwestern solar photovoltaic, energy efficiency improvements,
and a shift from heavy reliance on automobiles, all of our energy needs can be
met with domestic clean energy sources.
